Newborn Photography

FAQs

Do you offer digital files?

Yes!  We are a “hybrid” studio, which means we offer both printed art products and digital negatives.   We believe a printed image or album is the best (and safest) way to preserve your art.  We also understand that digital files are a product that is in demand so we gladly offer them.  However, we want to stress how important it is to print them.

What if I only want a few small prints?

We are a custom portrait studio who specializes in providing the highest quality imagery and customer service to our clients.  If you want gift prints only, we recommend booking a ‘Little Dreamer’ newborn session and investing in small digital files so you can print the files how you like up to an 8×10.

What is the difference between a ‘Signature’ Newborn Session and a ‘Little Dreamer’ Newborn Session?

The ‘Signature’ newborn session is a custom portrait experience that includes both baby-focused (posed) images as well as parent and sibling shots.  These sessions typically last at least 2 hours and produce a gallery of 30-40 finished images to choose from.  Little Dreamer newborn sessions are shorter and focus on the baby only.  Dreamer sessions typically last about an hour and produce a gallery of 15-20 images.

When should I call to book our newborn session?

It is best to contact me before your baby is born to schedule your newborn session.  Most clients contact me around the 6th month of pregnancy to ensure availability.  Newborn sessions take place when the baby is between 5 and 10 days old.  This time frame is critical to capturing those sweet, curled-up newborn images that you see on my website.

Do you offer family mini sessions?

Yes!  Exclusive family mini sessions are offered twice a year, usually in the Fall and Spring.  This is a great time to get an updated family portrait in a fun and relaxed way. These sessions are first come, first serve and generally fill up quickly.  Repeat clients always receive first priority booking.
